Find additional trainings via the Georgia System of Care Calendar
Through the Georgia SOC, there are a number of trainings and workforce development opportunities available for SOC Providers, families and community members.
The Training Calendar shows the different training opportunities that SOC partners are offering. To learn more about a specific training, such as how to enroll, click on the name of the training, which is located on the date the training takes place. To see which training sessions are appropriate for different audiences, use (click) the Calendars (Everyone, Parents, Professionals, Youth & Young Adults) filter located on the bottom left side of the calendar.

Better Brains for Babies
Good news! Better Brains for Babies, sponsored by the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services Prevention and Community Support Section, is now accepting applications for the next virtual BBB Community Outreach Educator training workshop, to be held May 14 - 17, 2024 from 1 – 3 pm each day via Zoom. Participants must attend the entire session on all 5 days to become a BBB educator. The application deadline is Friday, April 12 at noon Eastern.
Minimum qualifications for being a BBB educator include the following:
A bachelor’s degree or higher
Documented experience in educating others about early childhood development
The ability and willingness to use BBB materials to teach others about brain development (either within the scope of your employment or as an independent trainer)
A demonstrated network of professional contacts with whom you can share brain development information
A commitment to share brain development information at least once per year and to report all uses of BBB information in the online reporting system
May 14: 1 – 4 pm
May 15: 1 – 4 pm
May 16: 1 – 3 pm
May 17: 1 – 3 pm
